Abstract:
Provided is a self-adaptive streaming medium processing method and apparatus. The method comprises: acquiring a media presentation (MP) timeline alignment event message carried in a media segment (S1102); according to the MP timeline alignment event message, determining an aligned media segment, wherein the aligned media segment is a media segment having a media presentation time (MPT) in the MP timeline aligned to an external timeline (S1104); after a mapping relationship between the MP timeline and the external timeline is established, calculating time experienced by the media segment of the MP timeline alignment event on the MPT (S1106). The present invention addresses the problem in the related art caused by employing a single reference clock to transmit hybrid media composed of a broadcasting network and a broadband network, such that media synchronization processing under a hybrid transmission model can be more efficient.
