Abstract:
A self-aligning bearing that supports a rotation shaft while axially positioning one end of the shaft and allows deflection of the rotation shaft. The bearing is formed as a double-row cylindrical roller bearing with a self-aligning ring. A group of cylindrical rollers of a first row and a group of cylindrical rollers of a second row are each positioned as follows. The first row group is positioned by being axially sandwiched by a radially inwardly facing flange provided in the axially middle of an outer ring having the outer periphery with a spherical surface and by a flange provided on an outer end of one of the two inner rings, and a second row group is positioned by being axially sandwiched by the flange of the outer ring and by a flange provided on an outer end of the other of the two inner rings.
