Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a self-aligning roller bearing retainer with which the bearing is free from skewing or fretting of rollers reducing the service life thereof and is excellent in assemblability, and which can adopt race guide type as well as roller guide type. [Solution] A retainer 1A is used in a self-aligning roller bearing with two rows of rollers. The retainer comprises a pair of single row retainers 2A, 2B that respectively guide the two rows of rollers. The single row retainers 2A, 2B each have a shape in which a large diameter ring 3 and a small diameter ring 4 are separated from each other in the axial direction and the same are connected via a plurality of pillars 5. A large diameter-side end surface 3A has a corrugated engaging section A with an engaging depth larger than the axial gap of the bearing. The corrugated engaging sections A of the pair of single row retainers 2A, 2B are engaged with each other in use.
