Abstract:
A self-cleaning control method and apparatus for an air conditioner. The control method comprises: obtaining the outdoor temperature in response to a control instruction of instructing an air conditioner to start a self-cleaning mode (S101); obtaining the internal coil temperature of an indoor unit when the outdoor temperature is greater than or equal to a preset outdoor temperature threshold; and adjusting the flow opening of a throttle device on the basis of the temperature difference value between the internal coil temperature and the target internal coil temperature corresponding to the self-cleaning mode until the internal coil temperature reaches the target internal coil temperature (S104). According to the method, the opening of a throttle device can be adjusted on the basis of the determination result between the outdoor temperature and the outdoor temperature threshold when it is determined that the outdoor is under a high temperature working condition so that the temperature of the internal coil which practically performs frosting for self-cleaning can meet the frosting temperature requirement and requirements in the self-cleaning process of the air conditioner such as the frosting area and the thickness are ensured effectively.
