Abstract:
The present invention discloses a viscous composition for pest control, more specifically for combating insects with underground or camouflaged colonies. The composition according to the present invention is a self-combusting paste, that is, it burns incompletely without the need for a wick, producing smoke which, because it has higher density than air and is heavy, with high downward penetration power, does not disperse in the atmosphere and can enter underground spaces, such as a colony of camouflaged insects, achieving their eradication. The invention also provides a method for applying pesticides, methods for manufacturing the self-combusting paste composition, and the use thereof for pest control, both in open-air agricultural environments and in open-air urban environments.
