Abstract:
A self-compensation device and method for a BGO crystal electro-optic coefficient temperature correlation. The device comprises a Faraday collimation rotator, a quartz tube (4), an antireflection film (7), a reflecting film (8), a BGO crystal (5) and a base (6). The Faraday collimation rotator comprises a collimation lens (2) and a Faraday rotator (3), wherein the collimation lens (2) and the Faraday rotator (3) are encapsulated inside the quartz tube (4), the two ends of the BGO crystal (5) are plated with the antireflection film (7) and the reflecting film (8) respectively, and both the quartz tube (4) and the BGO crystal (5) are mounted on the base (6). The self-compensation device and method for a BGO crystal electro-optic coefficient temperature correlation automatically compensate measurement errors due to the fact that the electro-optic coefficient of the BGO crystal changes with the temperature on line using the temperature characteristic of the rotation angle of the Faraday rotator and the influence thereof on the transformation ratio of an optical voltage transformer.
