Abstract:
The present invention relates to a self-piercing split rivet. In the self-piercing split rivet, which is configured to include a head portion (110) and a body portion (120), the self-piercing split rivet (100) has a groove (121) in the inner lower portion of the body portion (120), and a lower tip portion (122) of the body portion (120) having the groove (121) formed in the inner portion thereof is formed in such a manner that two slots (123) face each other, wherein the lower tip portion is split into two branches. The present invention also relates to a method for manufacturing the self-piercing split rivet. The present invention includes: a head portion forming step; a groove forming step; and a slot forming step. The present invention relates to a method for fastening the self-piercing split rivet. According to the method for fastening the self-piercing split rivet of the present invention in which an upper metal plate (510) and a lower metal plate (520) are coupled to each other using the rivet (100), the rivet tip portion (122) is split into the two branches facing each other by the slots (123), the rivet (100) is inserted between the upper and lower metal plates (510 and 520), and the rivet (100) passes through the upper metal plate (510) and is then fixed as the tip portions (122) which split into the two branches are widened at the center of the lower metal plate (520).
