(Problem) To provide a self-propelled electric vacuum cleaner in which the number of extensions can be changed according to the working range. (Solution) The present invention comprises: an electric vacuum cleaner body that accommodates a main body suction opening that opens in a bottom section and straddles substantially the entire width of a front end section on a case-shaped interior, a chargeable storage cell, a dust collection chamber, a suction motor, and a drive motor for driving a pair of travel wheels, the main body being provided on both sides with an accommodation space for accommodating a first extension and an accommodation space for accommodating a second extension in a corner section; the case-shaped first extension provided with a pair of travel wheels driven by the drive motor and provided with an extension suction opening that opens in a bottom section; and the second extension provided with a driven traveling ball caster in the bottom section and an extension suction opening that opens in the bottom section. The first extension is connected to a suction pipe inside the main body via an expandable suction pipe in the electric vacuum cleaner main body, and the second extension is connected to a suction pipe inside the main body via an expandable suction pipe in the electric vacuum cleaner main body.
