Abstract:
A self-propelled mowing machine is provided, the self-propelled mowing machine being provided with a meandering driving mode capable of continuing mowing while reducing shear load. The self-propelled mowing machine that performs mowing while autonomously running in a mowing region includes: a rotary shear blade that rotates on a plane substantially parallel to the ground surface; and rear wheels that are independently controlled by a driving motor, wherein a meandering mode implemented by a control unit is provided, in which while one wheel is operated to move straight, the other wheel is operated to move forward, stop, move backward, and stop, and then while the other wheel is operated to move straight, the one wheel is operated to move forward, stop, move backward, and stop, and these operations are repeated so that shearing in a travel direction is performed while meandering to the right and left within the range of the total length of the mowing machine. In the meandering mode, the center axis of the shearing blade has a movement locus as indicated by a dotted line 61, and the shearing width is WC.
