Abstract:
Provided is a self-propelled power storage system by which it is possible to automatically replace a secondary battery using a method that does not place constraints on the design of an accommodation body. The self-propelled power storage system 10 comprises a power storage device 20, a first power storage device accommodation body 30, and a second power storage device accommodation body 40. The power storage device 20 is provided with a traveling device 22, a position detection device 24, a CPU 26, and a main secondary battery 28. The position detection device 24 detects the positions of each of the first and second power storage device accommodation bodies 30, 40. The CPU 26 controls the traveling device 22 on the basis of each of the positions detected by the position detection device 24 so that the power storage device 20 moves freely between the first power storage device accommodation body 30 and the second power storage device accommodation body 40. The main secondary battery 28 supplies power to the traveling device 22, the position detection device 24, and the CPU 26.
