A self-service vending method and system. The method comprises: a cloud service platform authenticates a user when receiving a purchasing instruction sent from a client of a mobile terminal by the user (S101); a vending device opens a vending window after the user is successfully authenticated (S102); when detecting that the vending window is closed, the vending device measures the weight of current goods by means of a weight sensor, determines the total weight of goods with radio frequency labels by identifying the radio frequency labels on the current goods, compares the weight measured by means of the weight sensor with the determined weight of the goods with the radio frequency labels to determine whether the weights are the same, and if yes, compares the weight measured by means of the weight sensor with the weight of the goods before the vending window is opened to determine the goods purchased by the user this time (S103); the vending device requests the cloud service platform for an electronic shopping list of the goods purchased at this time, and promotes the user to complete payment according to the electronic shopping list (S104). The method can more accurately identify the goods purchased by the user, improves the convenience of shopping and the shopping experience.
