Abstract:
A self-standing pillow pouch packaging device (8) having a bottom face (33) and peripheral walls (25) with high strength, allowed to stand by itself, and manufacturable at low cost. A package film (12) is applied to a former (16) to form it in a cylindrical shape so as to surround a bag-making pipe (18), the film end edges thereof on both sides are overlapped with each other, and a center seal (22) is applied thereto to form a cylindrical film (24). Two sheets of the package film are adhered to each other, a bottom seal (32) is applied to the upstream side end edge of the cylindrical film and a top seal (34) is applied to the downstream side end edge thereof, and the cylindrical film on the downstream side of the bag-making pipe is cut off in the held state of the cylindrical film while surrounding the bag-making pipe. A bottom part (42) including the bottom seal is pushed to the upstream side inside the bag-making pipe and folded back to the inside of the cylindrical film to raise the bottom of the cylindrical film so as to form the peripheral walls (25) pressingly enlarged to reinforce as a bottom beam (32a) by the bottom seal formed by overlapping two sheets of the package film on each other. A packaged matter (38) is supplied from a packaged matter filling pipe (26) into the cylindrical film, the bottom seal is applied to the upstream side end edge of the cylindrical film and the top seal is applied to the downstream side end edge thereof, and the cylindrical film is cut off to manufacture the self-standing pillow pouch packaging device (8).
