Abstract:
A semi-automatic device for preparing a hollow cylindrical soil specimen, the device comprising a fixing cover plate (14), a soil cutting wire (5), a middle separator board (24), a soil wire cutter frame, a support disk (11), a first stepper motor (6), a second stepper motor (9), a third stepper motor, a PLC, and a soil loading cylinder (17). The first stepper motor (6), the second stepper motor (9), and the third stepper motor are connected to the PLC. Two ends of the soil cutting wire (5) are connected to the soil wire cutter frame. The soil cutting wire (5) is capable of automatically performing a vertical motion. The soil wire cutter frame is also capable of automatically moving forwards and backwards. The support disk (11) is used for controlling rotation of a soil specimen to be cut. The soil loading cylinder (17) is vertically movable and rotatable. The invention solves the problem of how to manufacture a semi-automatic device for preparation of a hollow cylindrical soil specimen.
