Abstract:
The semi-finished pipe 1 according to the present invention is in a phase prior to being formed into a fully finished pipe 2 through cutting by a lathe, the semi-finished pipe 1 comprising a fully-finished-pipe-configuring first layer 11 that remains even after cutting by the lathe, and a dummy second layer 12 that is formed on the outer side of the first layer 11 and that does not remain after cutting by the lathe. The semi-finished pipe 1 according to the present invention makes it possible to provide a semi-finished pipe with which it is possible to produce a pipe (fully finished pipe) having a small outside diameter by using a lathe, even in the case of a lathe for which a cutting process is difficult due to difficulty in gripping by a chucking jig when the outside diameter is small.
