Abstract:
A semiconductor device according to the invention of the present application comprises: an electrode pad connected between an externally attached capacitor and a first node; a reference capacitance circuit for applying a reference electrostatic capacitance to a second node; a determining circuit for supplying a charging current to the electrode pad from a first relay terminal via the first node and supplying a charging current from a second relay terminal to the reference capacitance circuit via the second node, and then determining whether an electrostatic capacitance of the capacitor has changed, by comparing the magnitudes of potentials at the first and second relay terminals; a first adjustment capacitance circuit for applying to the first node an electrostatic capacitance equivalent to an adjustment amount indicated by a capacitance adjustment signal if an increase/decrease adjustment selection signal indicates an increasing adjustment; and a second adjustment capacitance circuit for applying to the second node an electrostatic capacitance equivalent to the adjustment amount indicated by the capacitance adjustment signal if the increase/decrease adjustment selection signal indicates a decreasing adjustment.
