Title:
SEMICONDUCTOR DEVICE, DELTA-SIGMA MODULATOR, AND THEIR RESISTANCE ADJUSTING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2006/038531
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A delta-sigma modulator having a voltage-current conversion circuit mounted thereon for determining a current value with a reference voltage and resistances has a problem that the output current value is dispersed by a dispersion in the resistances so that a consumed current largely disperses thereby to make it difficult to realize a low current consumption. The consumed current is measured in the state where a reference resistor (115) having a predetermined resistance is connected with the outside of the delta-sigma modulator and where a voltage-current conversion circuit (109) and the reference resistor (115) are electrically connected. Second switches (112a - 112g) individually corresponding to divided built-in resistors (111a - 111g) are provided and are turned ON/OFF to adjust the resistance so that the consumed current may become substantially equal to the measured one. The optimum and minimum consumed current of the case of no dispersion in the built-in resistances can be realized by holding that setting in a register at a real action time.
