Abstract:
According to one embodiment of the present invention, a semiconductor device (601) is provided with a calculating unit (CPU) that is provided in a semiconductor chip, and a temperature sensor (TS) that measures a temperature of the semiconductor chip. The semiconductor device compares a measured temperature (Ta) measured by means of the temperature sensor (TS) with a predetermined reference temperature (Tref), and when the measured temperature (Ta) is higher than the reference temperature (Tref), the semiconductor device switches the frequency of an operation clock to be supplied to the operating unit (CPU) from a first frequency to a second frequency that is higher than the first frequency.
