Abstract:
A semiconductor device is provided with a booster circuit (20) for boosting a selected word line (WL) to a prescribed voltage which is higher than a power supply voltage, and a charge pump circuit (23) for maintaining the voltage of the boosted word line (WL) at the prescribed voltage. Though boosting by the booster circuit (20) permits a voltage level to go down with lapse of time, the word line level can be prevented from going down by maintaining the voltage of the word line by providing the charge pump circuit (23), and writing and reading to and from a memory cell can be correctly performed.
