Abstract:
The present invention provides a semiconductor device with a new structure. A mixer circuit having a digital-analog conversion circuit, a control circuit for controlling the digital-analog conversion circuit, a power supply control switch, and a plurality of Gilbert circuits is included. Each of the plurality of Gilbert circuits has an analog-potential-holding circuit for holding the analog potential outputted by the digital-analog conversion circuit. The control circuit has the function to output a signal for controlling the analog-potential-holding circuit and the digital-analog conversion circuit. The power supply control switch has the function to stop the supply of a power supply voltage to the control circuit in a period in which the analog potential held by the analog-potential-holding circuit is not updated. The analog-potential-holding circuit has a first transistor. The first transistor has a semiconductor layer having an oxide semiconductor in a channel-forming region.
