Abstract:
A semiconductor integrated circuit includes an adjacent color difference data generator and a code converter. The adjacent color difference data generator generates first color difference data having a first code format by calculating a difference between adjacent data in a data string of different color information for each of digital signal pixels converted from an analog color video signal. The code converter converts the first color difference data into second color difference data having a second code format. Here, the second code format realizes a small number of changing bits upon switching before and after the code conversion from the first code format. Thus, even if single-color image data has a gradation change, it is possible to reduce the number of changing bits upon switching before and after code conversion, thereby reducing the noise upon output of digital image data.
