Abstract:
Provided is a sensing device (1), which senses an object located in a blind spot in a mobile body (2) peripheral environment. The sensing device comprises a detection part (11), a distance measurement part (12), and a control part (13). The detection part radiates a physical signal (Sa) having the characteristic of a wave to the peripheral environment from the mobile body, and detects a wave signal (Sb) indicating the reflection of the radiated physical signal. The distance measurement part detects distance information indicating the distance from the mobile body to the peripheral environment. The control part analyzes the result of the detection by the detection part. On the basis of the result of the detection by the distance measurement part, the control part senses a blind spot region (R1) representing a blind spot in the peripheral environment, and senses an object (4) in the blind spot region on the basis of a wave signal which includes a wave component arriving from the sensed blind spot region in the result of the detection by the detection part.
