Abstract:
Provided is a tactile/proximity sensor (1) for sensing the contact force and the proximity of an object (4) according to the results of light reception. The tactile/proximity sensor comprises: a light source (2); a light reception unit (3); and a cover member (10). The light source emits light. The light reception unit receives the light and generates a signal (P1) indicating the results of light reception. The cover member is constituted by an elastic body that deforms in response to an external force and is provided so as to cover the light source and the light reception unit. The cover member comprises: a reflecting section (11) that reflects light between the light source and the light reception unit; and a transmission unit (12) that transmits light in a first direction from the light source and transmits light in a second direction from the light reception unit.
