Abstract:
[Problem] To make it possible to further reduce the effect of error caused by the resolution of processing pertaining to distance measurement. [Solution] A sensor chip provided with: a light-receiving unit for receiving reflected light projected from a light source and reflected by a subject, and detecting, for each predetermined detection period, the amount of the reflected light received in the detection period; a measurement unit for measuring the distance to the subject on the basis of the amount of light received; and a control unit for applying a first delay amount and/or a second delay amount having mutually different resolutions pertaining to control to control of a first timing at which the light-receiving unit detects the amount of light received, and thereby controlling a relative time difference between the first timing and a second timing at which the light source projects light, in accordance with the first delay amount and the second delay amount, at a resolution finer than the resolution of each of the first delay amount and the second delay amount.
