Abstract:
A sensor for detecting in-cylinder pressure has a simple configuration, can be replaced easily, and is not affected by temperature.
A sensor (1) for detecting in-cylinder pressure, the sensor (1) being mounted to an engine (11) and detecting in-cylinder pressure which is the gas pressure within the cylinder (13) having a piston (12) contained therein, the engine (11) having a cylinder block (16) located outside a cylinder liner (14) with a cooling water passage (15) provided therebetween, the cylinder liner (14) being the outer shell of the cylinder (13). The sensor for detecting in-cylinder pressure is provided with: a push rod (2) which penetrates through the cylinder block (16) from the outside thereof so as to be in contact with the cylinder liner (14) and which is adapted to be displaced by the in-cylinder pressure; and a displacement sensor for detecting, outside the cylinder block (16), the displacement of the push rod (2).
