Abstract:
[Problem] To enable any increase in electric power consumption to be prevented while substituting Tx coils with linear electrodes. [Solution] This sensor device comprises a group of linear electrodes EL that extend in parallel to each other, a group of loop coils LCx that intersect the group of linear electrodes EL, and a sensor controller 31. The sensor controller 31: sequentially sends out an alternating magnetic field from the group of linear electrodes EL; detects, by using the group of loop coils LCx, an alternating magnetic field that is generated by an indicator in response to the aforementioned alternating magnetic field; determines a linear electrode set that is composed of some linear electrodes EL from the group of linear electrodes EL on the basis of the result of detection; executes, for a plurality of instances, a process for generating an alternating magnetic field in at least some linear electrodes in the set of linear electrodes; derives the two-dimensional position of the indicator using a plurality of result values detected by at least some loop coils LCx in the group of loop coils LCx as the result of each instance of execution; and updates the linear electrode set in accordance with the derived two-dimensional position.
