Abstract:
The invention relates to the technical field of sensors. Disclosed is a sensor employing a vertical Hall element and an anisotropic magnetic resistor (3), the sensor comprising a circuit board (1), a Hall element (2), the anisotropic magnetic resistor (3), a signal processing chip, and a guide rod (4). A conducting wire (6) is fixedly connected to an output end of the Hall element (2). A connecting tube (5) corresponding to the conducting wire (6) is fixedly connected to the top of the guide rod (4). In the sensor employing the vertical Hall element and anisotropic magnetic resistor (3) and the method of use therefor, a vertical Hall device, in a similar way to an AMR device, can sense a change in a magnetic field parallel to a surface of the device. Therefore, a vertical Hall device comprising an X-axis and a Y-axis (in a plane parallel to the surface of the device) perpendicular to each other can assist an AMR chip bridge in achieving angle measurement from 0-360°. The additional Hall device having a single chip can be placed in the vicinity of an AMR, packaged in a package body, or integrated in a signal processing ASIC chip.
