Abstract:
A sensor-equipped bearing for wheel which is capable of obtaining continuous estimated loads depending on a variety of input load states while reducing load estimation error by correcting the nonlinearity of sensors. A stationary-side one of the outer member (1) and the inner member (2) of the bearing for wheel is provided with sensor units (20) and load estimation means (30) which estimates a load from sensor output signals from the sensor units (20). The load estimation means (30) comprises a load estimation computing unit (35) which computes the load by use of an estimation-computing equation, an evaluation value calculation unit (32) which calculates an evaluation value (Ei) serving as a parameter switch indicator for the estimation-computing equation from the sensor output signals, and a parameter switch unit (34) which switches parameters on the basis of the result of comparing the evaluation value (Ei) with a threshold (Ci). The load estimation computing unit (35) comprises a computation correcting unit (35a) which composes, within a fixed evaluation value area including the threshold (Ci), two load estimation results computed with parameters in the evaluation value area on both sides of the threshold (Ci), thereby correcting the result of the computation.
