Abstract:
Provided is a sensor-equipped wheel bearing device capable of estimating a load with high accuracy even in a state where, for example, a ground contact load acting on a supported wheel is considerably lower than that on the other wheels, for example, when the wheel is being lifted off the road surface without separately adding a sensor. A sensor-equipped wheel bearing device is provided with: a plurality of sensor units (20) for detecting a load applied to a wheel bearing (100); a sensor signal calculation means (31) for processing sensor signals (S) of the sensor units; and a load calculation processing means (32) for calculating a load applied to a road surface contact point of a wheel from the processed information. The load calculation processing means (32) comprises a low-load state determination unit (32b) for determining whether or not an object wheel is in a predetermined low-load state using information relating to a detected load other than that of the object wheel, and a load estimation calculation unit (32a) for switching a load calculation processing method according to the result of the determination to calculate the load applied to the wheel.
