Abstract:
Provided are a faucet device and a sensor capable of measuring the distance to an object and detecting an object at a short distance. This sensor (10) has a detection unit (11) and a processing unit (13). The detection unit (11) outputs a digital value of a beat signal representing a frequency difference between the frequency of an emitted radio wave and the frequency of a received radio wave. A frequency analysis unit (131) of the processing unit (13) is configured to calculate a frequency spectrum of the beat signal. A correction unit (134) of the processing unit (13) adds a zero or zeros to the digital value to be inputted to the frequency analysis unit (131), the number of zeros being equal to a difference between the output bit number of the detection unit (11) and the input bit number of the frequency analysis unit (131). A calculation unit (135) of the processing unit (13) determines a peak frequency the power of which has a peak value from the frequency spectrum calculated by the frequency analysis unit (131), and converts the peak frequency to the distance to an object (Ob).
