Abstract:

Provided is a system that correlates targets with each other by using a plurality of sensors so as to realize correlation in a short time and with high reliability. The system includes a first analyzing device, a second analyzing device, and a sensor fusion device. The analyzing devices analyze outputs from the sensors to generate confidence information concerning the confidences of the positions of target objects. The sensor fusion device is provided with a distance calculating unit and a correlation determining unit. The distance calculating unit calculates the distance between a determination target object and a correlation-candidate target object for individual direction axes defined from the positions of the determination target object and corresponding sensors. The distance calculating unit normalizes the calculated distances for the individual direction axes by using the confidence information corresponding to the determination target object. The distance calculating unit calculates, as a post-normalization distance, the distance between the determination target object and the correlation-candidate target object by using the normalized distances for the individual direction axes. The correlation determining unit determines whether or not the determination target object and the correlation-candidate target object are the same target object by using the post-normalization distance.
