Abstract:
This sensor insertion device (1) is provided with: a sheath (14); a handle (15); an operation body (20) provided within the handle (15); a carrier (16) provided below the operation body (20); a guide needle unit holding unit (24a) for removably holding a guide needle (23) that guides a sensor (4) in the direction of insertion, the guide needle unit holding unit (24a) being provided at a lower end section of the carrier (16); and an arm (27) rotatably supported by a cylindrical part (25) of the sheath (14). The arm (27) has an outer end section (28) located outside the sheath (14) and an inner end section (29) located inside the sheath (14). The handle (15) has an arm operation surface (30) that comes into contact with the outer end section (28) of the arm (27). The carrier (16) has a ceiling (32) that comes into contact with the inner end (29) of the arm (27).
