Abstract:
The invention relates to a sensor system or sensor for detecting mechanical or thermal measurement variables or system states by means of shape memory elements, wherein a sensor system or a sensor comprises at least one shape memory sensor element (1) having a thermal or pseudo-elastic effect, wherein the shape memory sensor element (1) changes the physical material characteristic values thereof or the geometrical properties thereof upon the action of mechanical or thermal energy, in such a way that information about the measurement variable or system states to be detected can be registered and system states can also be stored by means of a permanent change in the material characteristic values, or that further component functions and monitoring of said component functions are provided in addition to the sensor function.
