Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a sensor unit and input device using said sensor unit wherein the sensor unit comprises a flexible wiring board bonded to a sensor substrate in a manner such that air bubbles at the edges of the flexible wiring board do not affect the display region and such that the strength of bonding between the sensor substrate and flexible wiring board can be increased. [Solution] A sensor substrate and a transparent substrate 17, such as a polarizing plate, are stacked, and an aperture part 19 is formed in the transparent substrate 17. While a bonding part 32 of a flexible wiring board 31 is bonded to the sensor substrate, a significant portion of a facing edge part 32a, which is a part of the bonding part 32 which faces a display/input region 11a, is positioned within the aperture part 19, making it less likely for air bubbles to form along the facing edge part 32a and for the display quality of the display/input region 11a to be affected. Both board end parts 36, 36 of the bonding part 32 are sandwiched between the sensor substrate and the transparent substrate 17, and thus, the bonding part 32 is not prone to deforming, making it easy to avoid damage to the sensor substrate.
