Abstract:
Provided are a separation apparatus and a separation method, whereby it becomes possible to remove megakaryocytes highly efficiently from a culture liquid containing platelets and the megakaryocytes in a mixed state, and which do not adversely affect the platelets. Specifically provided are: a separation apparatus for removing megakaryocytes from a culture liquid containing the megakaryocytes and platelets in a mixed state, said separation apparatus being equipped with a culture solution storage vessel in which a culture solution is stored, a culture solution sending means which has a function of sending the culture solution in the culture solution storage vessel, a collected solution storage vessel in which a collected solution, which is produced by removing the megakaryocytes from the culture solution, is collected and stored, and an electric charge supply means; and a separation method.
