Abstract:

An X/Y-separation crank mechanism provided between a moving body (12) that reciprocates in a first direction and a crankshaft (14) that can rotate. Said X/Y-separation crank mechanism, which converts between the reciprocating motion of the moving body and the rotational motion of the crankshaft, is provided with the following: a support member (20) provided so as to be able to reciprocate in the aforementioned first direction; a crank-connection member (22) with which the crank of the aforementioned crankshaft rotatably engages, said crank-connection member being attached to the support member so as to be able to reciprocate in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction; and a coupling member (24) that couples a piston and the support member to each other and reciprocates in the first direction as a single unit with said piston and support member.
