Abstract:
A separation device and a separation method are provided with which it is possible to separate plastic from aluminum. The separation device (1) is equipped with a separation part (20). The separation part (20) comprises a vessel (22) and a scooping member (24). In the separation part (20), an object to be treated which comprises aluminum and one or more plastics is heated to a first temperature. The first temperature is a temperature which is lower than the melting temperature of the aluminum but not lower than the melting temperature of at least one of the plastics. The vessel (22) holds the object heated to the first temperature. The scooping member (24) has holes (24a) through which the molten plastic is able to pass, and the object held in the vessel (22) is scooped up therewith. Thus, the aluminum is separated from the molten plastic.
