Abstract:
Provided is a water-alcohol separation membrane unit for producing an alcohol from a water-alcohol mixture and with which it is possible to improve productivity in a simple manner. A separation membrane unit used when an alcohol is produced from a water-alcohol mixture, wherein the separation membrane unit includes a module group configured from a plurality of separation membrane modules connected in series, and a backup module, the backup module being disposed so as to be connectable to at least one module in the module group.
