Abstract:
Provided is a separator that can be easily increased in size according to required separation performance, that can be assembled easily, and for which, when any separation membrane fails, only that failed separation membrane needs to be replaced. The separator is configured such that: a plurality of plate shaped separation membranes 2 for separating permeable gases by allowing CO2 and the like, which are noncombustible gas components included in natural gas/associated petroleum gas, to pass through and a plurality of sealing members 3 are stacked alternately, and non-permeable gas chambers 8 and permeable gas chambers 9 are formed alternately between the adjacent separation membranes; and a non-permeable gas flow path is formed by non-permeable gas holes 6, which are formed in the separation membranes 2, and the non-permeable gas chambers 8, and a permeable gas flow path is formed by permeable gas holes 7, which are formed in the separation membranes 2, and the permeable gas chambers 9.
