A sequence generation method and apparatus, a computer device, and a storage medium, the method comprising: receiving a sequence generation request sent by a client terminal, and acquiring data to be stored from the sequence generation request (S1); on the basis of a preset calculation method, converting the data to be stored into a target field of a preset length (S2); acquiring a real-time pressure value of a database server (S3); on the basis of the real-time pressure value, determining a number N of initial caches and allocating N initial caches, the initial caches comprising a random initial value, and N being a positive integer (S4); on the basis of the length of each random initial value, dividing the target field into M data segments, the data segments corresponding to the initial caches, and M being a positive integer (S5); performing a bitwise calculation on each data segment and the random initial value in the initial cache corresponding to the data segment to obtain M calculation results, and splicing together the M calculation results to obtain a target sequence (S6). The present method enables the generated main key to save storage space during the process of generating the main key of a data table, improving the query performance of the database.
