Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a server device with which it is possible for a communication terminal to understand, prior to the execution of a service employing a communication network, whether the communication terminal supports the service.
[Solution] Provided is a server device provided with a processing unit which uses frame information that has been acquired from a first communication device, and that is sent together with a service utilization request, to inquire whether or not the first communication device supports a specification for utilizing the service, and which, on the basis of the result of said inquiry, sends a notification to the first communication device indicating whether or not the service can be utilized.
