Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to smoothly acquire data even when the amount of data to acquire is large. A server device according to the present invention is characterized by being provided with: a storage unit that stores prescribed information to provide to an external device; a divided data generation unit that accepts information from an external device via communication, the information specifying the storable remaining capacity of the external device, and creates a plurality of data sets into which the prescribed information is substantially equally divided to a size that corresponds to the storable remaining capacity; and a data transmission control unit that transmits the data sets to the external device in an amount that corresponds to the storable remaining capacity.
