Abstract:

This server device and terminal device make it possible to pass or switch channels for infrastructure communication, such as EPC, via a network, or for relay communication via direct communication with a Relay UE, and makes it possible to continue service. A channel is switched by: selecting a third terminal device having a relay function on the basis of the path information request message which at least includes identification information indicating that switching of communication is requested; transmitting, to a first terminal device, a path update instruction message that is a response to the path information request message and includes information for the third terminal device; carrying out direct communication using LTE with the third terminal device; and instructing that communication be made with the first terminal device.
