Abstract:
Provided is a server enabling an image in which a desired search subject is captured to be easily retrieved from a database in which the site of image pick-up and image data are associated and stored. A server (100) retrieves images from a database (140) in which image pick-up location information indicating the location of an image pick-up site and the image picked up at the image pick-up site are associated and stored. The server is provided with the following: an information acquisition unit (111) for acquiring subject location information which is information indicating the location of a retrieval subject; and a retrieval unit (112) that on the basis of subject location information acquired by the information acquisition unit (111) and image pick-up location information stored in the database (140) performs image retrieval, from among images stored in the data base, of one or a plurality of images that include the retrieval subject.
