Abstract:
The present application relates to the technical field of communication networks, and disclosed thereby are a service identification method and device and a network device. The method, applied to a network device, is used to solve the problem in existing technology of the efficiency of determining the service type of a service to be identified according to an analysis result for a service message being low. The method comprises: a network device receives service messages and identifies service messages belonging to a same terminal; the network device determines service traffic characteristics according to session information of the terminal and message information of the service messages, wherein the service traffic characteristics comprise at least one of the following: session duration, session concurrency, traffic rate, traffic rate stability, message transmitting and receiving frequency, quantity of messages, message length, and round-trip delay of request messages and response messages; and the network device determines the service type of a service to be identified according to the service traffic characteristics.
