A servo control system (10) and a servo control method. The system (10) comprises: an absolute encoder (11) and a driver (12) connected to each other, wherein the absolute encoder (11) comprises a sine and cosine signal module (111) and an absolute signal module (112); the driver (12) comprises a square-wave signal conversion module (121), an analog-to-digital conversion module (122), a subdivision module (123), a counting module (124) and a position output module (125); and the absolute encoder (11) and the driver (12) communicate with each other by means of respective modules. The subdivision function of the encoder is transplanted into the driver (12), not only simplifying the circuit structure of the encoder and reducing the volume thereof, but also improving the response speed and control precision of the servo control system (10).
