SESSION MIGRATION METHOD BETWEEN ACCESS NETWORKS AND APPARATUS THEREOF

Session migration method between access networks and apparatus thereof are disclosed in embodiment of present application. The method includes steps: session information supported by current access network (AN) and opposite access network (AN) is regulated to be consistent; the session established between access terminal (AT) and current AN is migrated to said opposite AN. The method can further include steps: session information of the session established between AT and current AN is negotiated so that this session information can be identified by opposite AN; said session is migrated to the opposite AN. In the embodiment of present invention, successful session migrations are ensured through keeping the session information supported by different ANs relating to the session migration consistent or negotiating the session information included in  the session established between the AT and the current AN so that the session information can be identified by the opposite AN.
