Abstract:
The present application relates to a set top box power consumption control method and system. A recycle time is preset to prevent set top box memory from being severely occupied; the use frequency and the average starting time interval of applications are counted to adjust the recycle time of the applications; commonly used applications can be better prevented from power consumption increase and being waited in restart caused by recycling; non-commonly used applications are recycled in advance to reduce power consumption; therefore, optimal control of set top box power consumption is performed; the set top box system is prevented from being in a severely-occupied running environment; foreground applications are ensured to response in time; heating and power consumption are reduced; and the performance of the set top box is guaranteed.
