A plurality of sets of sound setting information is stored in a storage device, each set of the sound setting information including one or a plurality of sound setting parameters. Furthermore, for each set of sound setting information, a link ID that identifies a link that is set in association with the set is stored in the storage device. On the basis of the link IDs, processing is carried out so that setting states for the sound setting parameters correspond to each other among the plurality of sound setting information sets having the same link ID in common. One set of the sound setting information that is selected can be edited according to user operations. In response to the editing, processing is carried out so that the setting state for the sound setting parameters in one or a plurality of sets of the sound setting information, which have the same link ID as that associated with the edited one set of sound setting information, corresponds to the sound setting parameter in the edited one set of sound setting information.
