Abstract:

A setting device (104) acquires a communications unit ID for a communications unit (101) that is worn by livestock (A) and which transmits via a relay (102). Furthermore, the setting device (104) judges whether or not other communications unit IDs positioned in the same communications area (103a) as the target communications unit (101) that is the target of group setting are registered in a group. In addition, the setting device (104) judges whether or not another relay (102b), for which the distance from the relay (102) forming the communications area (103a) in which the target communications unit (101) is positioned is a prescribed value or less, is present. When no other communications unit ID positioned in the same communications area (103a) is registered in a group and no other relay (102b) is present, the setting device (104) gives a new group name to the communications unit ID for the target communications unit (101) and registers the communications unit ID for the target communications unit (101) in that group.
