Abstract:
A settlement information notification service server and a settlement information notification method capable of notifying settlement information to a card user when a card is used. When a user (8) holds a non-contact IC card above an IC card read/write device (10), the electronic money recorded on the non-contact IC card is updated (reduced). The balance information on the electronic money updated is transferred to a balance information notification server (3), where the balance information is compared to a predetermined threshold value. If the comparison shows that the balance information is equal to or smaller than the threshold value, the balance information notification server (3) attaches notification information for notifying electronic money balance information and small balance to an electronic mail and transmits it to a mobile telephone device (7) of the transmission destination set by the user (8). The user (8) can know the electronic money balance recorded on the non-contact IC card by checking the balance information received by the mobile telephone device (7) without using a dedicated device.
